About Lutheran Media

Lutheran Media shares a Christian message using electronic media. Their ministry focuses on the areas of Radio, Television, Print Media, Video and the Internet.

What Lutheran Media Required

Lutheran Media required an online game that would be engaging and absorbing for children aged 5-7. The game would have to be expandable, updateable, and have lasting replay value. The game also needed to deliver simple, easy to understand Bible messages for children to consider, but this needed to be done in an unobtrusive manner.

The Solution

Working on the concept that children love to create, Neoterik designed and developed a game that allowed children to construct buildings, meet different people with different games to play, and even gives complete control over their characters appearance. 'HappyLand' is built on the underlying principle that helping others brings happiness to everyone involved, and this happiness then allows the player to progress through the game. Neoterik developed the game engine from the ground up to allow for endless expandability, with plans to add more locations, buildings, characters and games on a steady basis.

The team at Neoterik was responsible for creating all graphics/animations, producing all in-game music, editing vocals, and programming the front and back-end of the game engine. Extensive testing with children was also undertaken to ensure the game would be playable and understandable for children of the target age.
